Hats/Mittens/Scarves While making various costumes in many colors of fleece, I have collected quite an array of fleece. There are also a huge number of great fleece prints available in most fabric stores. Since I can never find quite the right combination of colors to match my children's coats, I started making hats and mittens for them. And I can make ones for you, too. There is a girl's style hat, slightly flattened on top with a soft fold-up brim. There is also a boy's hat, which has a pom pom on top and a foldup brim. These hats can be made in various sizes to fit children and adults. To match any hat, I can also make mittens and scarves. The mittens can have a contrasting cuff area, to match a hat brim. And the scarf can have fringe that is tied off with a contrast as well.
